ABOUT OUR KIDZONE
West side Institutional Synagogue is deeply committed to excellence, community, and torah. With these values at heart, the Kidzone is a place where kids come together to find fun, friendship, and, of course, a ton of candy.
As little ones discover the world and young adults discover themselves, the Kidzone serves as a community center for all, in which those of any age can find something for them, enjoy a good time, and learn more than they come for.
The Kidzone’s mission is to connect children and their families with the community, our shul, and Hashem — through engaging learning-oriented youth programming. Our youth groups define the shabbat experience for future generations. Our events make the Shul a space that kids absolutely love. And our leaders show our children the joy of Judaism.
The Kidzone’s creative youth programming is led by our talented and committed Youth Director, Zach Herskowitz, along with a team of energetic youth leaders.
Exploring our city and beyond, our programs include but are not limited to:
- Weekly Shabbat Youth Groups for ages 1-8
- Weekly Junior Congregation for Grades 4-6
- Bimonthly Kids Kabbalat Shabbat for grades K-6
- Parent Child Learning for Kids of All Ages
- Special Events for Kids of All Ages
- Trips To Near & Far for Families, Children, and Teens
- Holiday Themed Programs & Celebrations for All
