Annual Dinner:
Description: This committee's main goal will be to develop a plan and execute an enjoyable, highly attended and profitable Annual Dinner. The committee will work with the Honorees, the President, the Rabbi, Fundraising- and Marketing committees and volunteers towards that end.

Chesed, Bikur Holim
Description: The WSIS Chesed Committee provides assistance to those who are in need and provides others with the opportunity to provide that assistance. Our projects can be as simple as escorting someone to and from synagogue, to such other projects as:
- Bikur Cholim: Visiting the sick and the homebound in area hospitals, assisted living facilities and at home.
- Food Delivery: Each week, our volunteers will deliver food to those in need.
- Life Events Committee: Offers to provide meals as needed, host a Shalom Zachor, set up a Shiva house, arrange for Shiva minyans at the home of a mourner, and to provide such other assistance as we are able.
- Blood Drive: Participate in blood drives in coordination with other area synagogues.

Decorum, Ritual
Description: The function of the Ritual Committee is to oversee that the services are fluid, with respect to all timing aspects; i.e. starting, petichot, chiyuvim, distribution of Kibbudim, observance of correct Minhagim, as well as overall dignity of the sanctuary.

Finance and Fund Raising
Description: The Finance and Fundraising Committee will work with the Treasurer and the President to ensure the financial health of the the Synagogue and additionally take on an active role in the High Holidays fundraisers, and other fundraising activities, with the main goal to expose our participants to the joys of giving.

Membership
Description: The committee will identify opportunities to strengthen the synagogue by increasing our membership and making sure that individuals and families that regularly attend the synagogue become formal members of the community. Specifically, the committee will work to ensure new members have a positive experience at WSIS, will acquaint new members of the synagogue with various aspects of synagogue programming, and will actively seek to involve the new members in synagogue committees, activities and events (i.e. Shabbat dinners, lunches, lectures, etc.). Lastly, the committee will seek out marginal and inactive members and to renew their interest and participation in the synagogue family, program and religious life of the congregation.

Physical Facilities
Description: The Physical Facilities Committee will review maintenance, utilization and improvement of existing facilities and plan for current and anticipated needs, including major capital improvements in accordance with the mission of WSIS.

Security
Description: The Security Committee will develop a policies and procedures to ensure that WSIS congregants and event attendants have adequate security against potential outside threats. The Committee will also research and apply for available grants to be used in improving security camera coverage, door reinforcements, alarms and other tools and equipment for this purpose.
