West Side Institutional Synagogue strives to provide a home for Orthodox Torah and Tefillah combined with a strong love of Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael. Our synagogue was founded in 1919 by Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein on 116th Street in Harlem.
WSIS endeavor to touch the lives of as many individuals as possible through the synergistic use of humor-intellectualism-inspiration. We amplify their affect through the implementation of intensive creativity and energy. Torah is always the nucleus of focus. And of course - leave nobody behind.
